| Program Activity |
This is to announce that Yokohama Nanoh District is going to hold “Incheon-Yokohama-Shonan Camporee 2010” at Asagiri, Japan from Friday, August 13 to Sunday, August 16, 2010. The task team will soon be formed by the leadership of International Committee of Yokohama-Nanoh District. The venue is already securely researved.
This exchange program is based on the result of the discussion between Ms. Ok Ran Kweon (International Commissioner of Incheon Council) and Toby Suzuki (Charmen of Yokohama Group 87) on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Incheon, in order to resume the Incheon-Yokohama Scout Exchange program in the summer of 2010, after the cancellation of the invitation to the 2009 Kanagawa Camporee due to the swine flu.
The venue is called “Mt. Fuji YMCA Global Eco Village” which is located at the shadow of Mt. Fuji, near to the 13th World Scout Jamboree site in 1971. The campsite covers an area of 30,000 tsubo (one tsubo is equivalent to 3.3 m²) which is nine times larger than Tokyo dome. (http://www.yokohamaymca.org) |
