I have participated this Visiting Program with my sun who is a Cub Troop
Scout.
We have arrived to Busan International Airport very late at night a day before. First night in Korea was at hot spring hotel in Gyeongju-si. Everyone was excited to be in Korea and stayed up very late, thus they were with sleepy faces in next morning (see a picture on up right).
Today, we have visited Seokguram Grotto and Bulguksa Temple for sightseen.
We have had a Korean Noodle for lunch, and move to Seoul that was about
four hours by bus. In night, we have had Korean Berbeque. It was surprising
to the Scouts when they saw a waitress comes up and start cutting a beef
meat with scissors. But, it really was very delicious. |

The Scouts are again looked sleepy in second morning. Today, we have sightseen
of Seoul for half a day and move to Incheon to meet with Incheon Scouts
and Leaders.
First to Gyeongbokgung, old palace build first in 1395, where we saw a
largest pavilion in Korea, Gyeonghoeru. Also, we visited the National Museum
of National Heritage.
There were many Korean students visiting this places. Looks like it was a time of year they visit places in Korea as a part of calculate. Only one Cub Troop Scout in our party, my son, was caught by those girls of Korean students and was popular among them taking pictures by their cellular phone. There even a girl who was following after him for while.
At lunch in Seoul City, we had a mixed rice in hot stone, and then went
out for shopping. we also visited National Soccer Stadium where the World
Cup was help.
As a time getting close to visit Inchean, the Scouts were becoming quiet with a feeling of uneasiness because they were told to stay at each Home-Stay Family by single person. However, when we arrived Incheon, a good new was waiting for them that two persons as a group will be staying at Home-Stay Family, and, hearing this news, smile came back to their faces. The Welcome Reception Party was held at Incheon Council and with many foods prepared by the Home Stay Families. |
